What is Anti Cardiolipin Antibody (ACA) – IgM test ?
Anti-cardiolipin antibodies are acquired auto-antibodies produced against cardiolipins and are found in the immunoglobulin classes- IgG, IgM, and/or IgA. Cardiolipin Antibody (ACL) – IgM test checks for the presence of cardiolipin antibodies in the blood. Elevated levels are associated with recurrent miscarriage, autoimmune diseases, and abnormal blood clot formation.
